Update on Medical Event on Sunday

Church family, as some of you are aware, one of our church members experienced a medical event that required extra care and attention from doctors and nurses on Sunday during our second worship experience.  We have had many inquiries as to the health of this member.  With permission, we wanted you to know that they are recovering well and are deeply appreciative of your prayers and support.

Additionally, we are grateful for the response of those who came to the member’s aid.

Finally, we also know that sometimes when difficult circumstances happen, especially those involving medical concerns and uncertainty, there is a need among some to process the events.  We care about the mental health of our church community and are striving to provide care and help when circumstances like these arise both now and in the future. If you were with us on Sunday and would like to process what you are experiencing, please contact Doug Ladika and our Care Team through this link: Care Team Form

Did you know??

Kids Church has volunteer roles that take different talents and people to fill, and they are always welcome to add other people to the team!

There are many roles that can be filled on a Sunday morning! These roles include game leaders, worship motion leaders, and small group leaders. There is a large need for substitute small group leaders as well, which are volunteers that fill in when other volunteers are out.

There are also other ways to volunteer, such as at our Kids Church events or you can join the prep team which helps prepare everything for Sunday mornings!

If you would like to know more about opportunities to serve in Kids Church, contact Mallory Galloway at mallory@lebanonchristian.org or by calling the office at (765) 482-4673.

Global Impact Trip to Austria: Informational meeting April 2nd 11:45am

This October a small team will be traveling to Austria (not Australia) to serve with our Global Partner TCM. TCM trains disciple makers all over the world.  One of the ways they train and equip disciple makers is through graduate education.  Each year, graduate courses are offered at TCM's mentoring center in Austria.  There are nine sessions each year that host anywhere from 30-60 students from all over Eastern Europe and Central Asia.  These courses are made possible through the generous donations of TCM's global partners.  Lebanon Christian Church is one of those global partners.  In addition to monetary support, the training is made possible through the service and sacrifice of short-term workers.  These short-term workers are volunteers from churches across the United States, and even throughout the world.  Lebanon Christian Church will be sending 6 short-term workers to Austria October 8th-20th to serve at Haus Edelweis. The trip is open to those who have graduated high school.

On April 2nd at 11:45am there will be an informational meeting in room 117.  If you are interested, please make arrangements to attend this meeting.

Easter Services: Saturday April 8th 4:30 and Sunday April 9th 9:00 and 10:30

We will have a family Worship Service at 4:30pm on Saturday, April 8, in addition to our 9 and 10:30am services on Sunday, April 9. Programs for kids in nursery – 5th grade will be as normal and the Overflow, our student-led worship service in our upstairs student auditorium will meet at 9:00am Sunday morning.  There will be no life groups for teens that morning.

Next Steps will meet in room 117 at 11:45am and last no more than 45 minutes. A light lunch will be provided, and your kids are invited to come with you. Next Steps will give you the opportunity to meet other people and discover more about LCC and your next step.

Global Impact Spotlight

FAME's vision is to be a global leader in evangelism through healthcare.  Much of the world's population, including the most vulnerable have little to no access to healthcare.  The inaccessibility of basic and emergent care can make it difficult for people to experience the full shalom (peace) of God.

FAME faithfully serves those in need through evangelism. They proclaim the gospel to the unreached and underserved by integrating spiritual and physical healing.  FAME extends compassion by sending medical supplies and building medical facilities for the developing world. FAME empowers nationals by training and encouraging them as they become healthcare providers and educators.  In addition, FAME promotes health in communities all over the world through disease prevention and community development. All of this is done through relationships that are cultivated between missionaries and Indigenous churches.

Want to know more about FAME or how you can get involved? Join the Night of Hope. The link to register is under upcoming events.

Renew Conference: April 26th

Join us for the Renew Gathering 2023.  The Renew Gathering is a global gathering of disciples of Jesus to learn from faithful disciple-makers around the world.  It's a time of learning and discussion.  This year The Renew Gathering is being hosted at Trader's Point Christian Church just down the road from Lebanon.  As the date approaches, we'll contact all participants to let you know where Lebanon Christian Church can meet up and experience this together. When you register here you are only telling us that you are going so we can connect with you.  You will still need to follow the provided link once you hit submit on our website to register for the Gathering yourself.  Please note, that the Renew Gathering spans two days.  The first evening is a unique experience at East 91st Street Christian Church.  Registration will allow you access to this, but what we are encouraging is your participation on Wednesday at Trader's Point Christian Church in Whitestown. We look forward to seeing you there!
