Digital Bulletin 7.22.2021
How do you like being addressed as sensitive? I'm guessing that for a few of you reading this, it doesn't make you feel well. You think, "why be sensitive?" "Who has time for that?" Do you know that one of the evidences of God's refining work in us is that we grow more sensitive and even sympathetic to the needs of those around us, and to the people around us?
In a world where we witness so much hostility, betrayal, and general hurt, it's not hard for hearts to grow calloused. This is why we need the reminder of Hebrews 13:3. "Continue to remember those in prison as if you were together with them in prison, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering." As we continue to study Hebrews 13 and learn how to love one another as family, may we be those who take the time to identify with, care for, and even feel with those who are suffering because of their faith. May we be sensitive. May we be concerned. May we be drawn to pray, act, and share on their behalf.
What disciples of Jesus around you would benefit from your care and concern?

Sunday, August 15
Lunch & Games: 10:45am – 12:45pm
We spent all last year learning to SEEK HIM, and now it’s time to SERVE HIM! Sunday, August 15 will be a special, fun day for us to explore how we can serve one another, and our God, at LCC.
We will all gather for one worship service at 10am, then move outside for our ServeFest of fun, food, and fellowship. We will provide lunch and water for all. There will be bounce houses and playground time for our younger ones. Adults and kids in middle school and up are invited to visit various tents to play games and learn about our serving opportunities at LCC. At each tent, you can receive a punch on your punch card. After collecting 8 punches, you can turn in your card at the Kenna’s Funnel Cake booth for a mini funnel cake or small lemonade shake-up. It’s sure to be a fun time, and we pray you will find your place to serve at LCC.
Sign up soon at one of the Welcome Centers or the Hub so we know how many to provide lunch for.
Would you like to help make this happen? We have a few opportunities for you to help. We need an adult to monitor the kids in the inflatables, and we’ve scheduled them in 30-minute shifts so you can still enjoy your time. We also need parking attendants in the morning for service, and a clean-up crew after. If you can help our with one of these spots, please click here to sign up. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080f4babac2daafa7-servfest
Linen Closet Needs
Did you know that LCC has a Linen Closet ministry to provide Love INC neighbors with clean, like-new bedding and towels? We sure do, and we are in need of more queen size sheet sets. If you have gently used sets or could donate new ones, please bring them to the laundry basket at the Hub.
