welcome

Our team of volunteers wants to encourage a deep-rooted faith in our children at an early age. Through music, playtime, and Bible teaching, our volunteers will be teaching the Big 3:

1. God made me!

2. God loves me!

3. Jesus wants to be my friend!

Thank you for sharing your children with us.

Together we can work to begin developing a lifelong relationship with Jesus for your children.

Nursery

The nursery is geared toward children ages birth - age 2. During your child's visit, they will be cared for both emotionally and physically by our nursery staff. Staff will change diapers, bottle feed, provide a snack, hold, rock, play with, and comfort your child throughout their stay.  We have two rooms: our Monkeys room for 0-1 years old, and our Alligators for 1-2 years old.

PRESCHOOL SMALL GROUPS

Preschool Small Groups are for children age 2- kindergarten. Preschool staff are committed to helping our little ones understand worship and encourage them to talk to God any time and any place. Staff will lead your children through a meaningful Bible lesson and an activity or craft. Lessons are kept simple and fun, and focus on one of the three foundational truths. It is our hope that these truths take a firm hold of our children's hearts and are carried with them for the rest of their lives.  We have four groups for children to be a part of: Tigers for 2 year olds, Zebras for 3 year olds, Elephants for 4 year olds, and Giraffes for 5 year olds.

Sunday Morning Groups

We know kids develop in so many different ways, and the best way to nurture that development is to group kids together for shared experiences. The following is the list of groups we use to sort our classes on Sunday mornings:

  • Monkeys - infant nursery

Babies will be cuddled and cared for with enormous amounts of attention. Older babies have room to move and explore. Room 153

  • Alligators - Toddler nursery

Toddlers love to be able to move and GO! We will provide many opportunities to move, sing, and stay active. Room 157

  • Tigers - 2'S

Too big and smart for the nursery, too young to go with the big kids...2's are in a class on their own.

Two-year-olds may be hesitant to leave you. That is okay! Our teachers and helpers are really great at helping you and your child through that transition.

Through play, music, and interactive Bible lessons, kids are introduced to God and the world He created. Room 156

  • Zebras - 3's

Three-year-olds have active imaginations, learn through play, and start making friends and close relationships. Our volunteers use these to teach important Bible lessons. Room 155

  • elephants - 4's & 5's

Curiosity is the name of the game for even the most active 4 & 5-year-old. They need structure and play, and our teachers and helpers give them that while teaching them about God and nourishing their relationship with Him. Room 112

  • Giraffes - Kindergarten

Kindergartners are so smart! They are ready to delve deeper into their walk with God. Volunteers will love them, challenge them, and encourage them as they learn more about God. Room 113

  • Little Hands Worship

During both the 9:00am and 10:30am service, age 2 - K will participate in Little Hands Worship, our large group praise and prayer time. They will go as a class and return to their classrooms before being picked up by parents.

security

Your child's safety is important to us. To help us create a safe environment for your child, our volunteers must complete a background check and training process before they are able to serve. We also utilize a security tag system to ensure every child is picked up by an approved adult.

How?

The first step in visiting LCC for any aspect of Children's Ministry is to create a profile for your child in our database. Click on My LCC above and follow the directions to do that from home. Or there will be hosts available to help you at the check-in stations, located in both lobbies.

Each time you bring your child to LCC, you will need to stop by a check-in station to sign in your child, where you will receive a name tag for both you and your child. At pick-up, you must present your child's matching name tag. If you lose your child's corresponding tag, you will be asked to present a photo ID in order to receive your child. Thank you for helping us create a safe environment for all our kids.
